ABOUT WEBINAR: Dependency Courts in Florida, like state court systems around the country, are family centered and strive to achieve outcomes in the best interest of the children and families involved in the process. This means particular attention is paid to timely permanency, improving the safety, and well-being of children through collaboration between the courts and the Department of Children and Families.

In this webinar, we will examine the role of the Dependency court when it comes to working with families. Participants will get to hear Judge Miller discuss the authority of the court, termination of parental rights, and understanding of trauma from the judicial perspective.
